WILTON Wilton was touched by a little bit of Hollywood glamour as scenes were shot at a Mountain Road home for a movie directed by Sam Mendes.
There are no plans to shoot any more scenes in Wilton, said Rob Harris, the movie's publicist.
"We will be shooting at other locations in the state but nothing more in Wilton," he said.
The movie which is directed by Oscar-winning director Mendes and is tentatively called "Farlanders" is expected to be in theaters in 2009.
Mendes directed American Beauty for which he won an Academy Award in 1999, "Road to Perdition", and "Jarhead".
It stars John Krasinski, known for his work in NBC's The Office and Toni Collette who starred in The Sixth Sense and Little Miss Sunshine.
The filming marks the third time in the past year that Wilton has been a location for a major motion picture.
Wilton has seen big stars in town in the past year. What Just Happened, starring Robert DeNiro, Sean Penn and Bruce Willis, and Old Dogs, starring John Travolta and Robin Williams, shot scenes in town in 2007.
George Norfleet, director of the state's Commission on Culture & Tourism's film division said the commission helps movie production companies in whatever way they can.
